Who we are

What we collect

When you submit the estimate form we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, the town or area of the property, and anything you write in the message field. We collect this only because you have chosen to send it.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, described under Cookies and tracking below.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey or visit, and provide the service you have asked about. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you initiated, and where work goes ahead, performance of a contract. We do not sell your data and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses a third-party call tracking service, WhatConverts, which sets cookies and records the page you arrived on, the website or search that referred you, and the telephone number displayed to you. It exists so we can tell which enquiries came from this website. It does not record the content of calls.

The estimate form is handled by Formspree, which processes the submission and forwards it to us by email. Their processing is covered by their own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not stop you using the site or contacting us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to completed installations are kept for six years, which covers the guarantee period and our tax and insurance obligations.

Footage from installed systems

We do not hold or have access to recorded footage from systems we install. The recorder belongs to you and the footage stays on it. Where a camera covers anywhere beyond your own boundary, you are the data controller for that footage and the ICO’s guidance on domestic and business CCTV applies. If a system we maintain requires us to view footage during a fault visit, we do so only with your agreement and keep no copy.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Write to contact@cctvinstallerleicester.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
